Join the Australian National Dance Association for the second event of our 2018 Season - the Autumn Dance Festival.


Our Festivals in the past have been a celebration of just ballroom dancing in Standard Ballroom, Latin, and New Vogue styles. 


The Festival is at Club Marconi on Sunday 3 June 2018. The day will be divided into 2 sessions with doors opening at 10:00am:

  • Session 1 - Juvenile and Junior DanceSport events from 11.00am            

  • Session 2 - Youth, Adult, and Masters DanceSport events from 12.00pm

Autumn Dance Festival FAQ

How do I enter?

All of our entry management will be via the Project 5000 DanceSportLive online platform.


Please make sure you have your CID ready to go - for DanceSport Recreational Competitors this is your DSA Registration Number, for Amateur Graded Competitors, this is the 6-digit number on your Registration Card that begins with 50xxxx. If you're unsure what your CID is, go to and look at the Find My CID option on both Recreational and Amateur.


Select your event category from either;

 - Amateur Graded,

 - Recreational,

 - Teacher/Student, or

 - Novelty for other events.


From there you will need to include all DanceSport competitors' CID numbers to continue.The system will detect who each competitor is, and provide you with a list of all eligible events you can enter into. Although you can only select and confirm one at a time, you can continue to add as many events from the list that you like to that couple/individual.


Once you're finished all of your entries, we recommend you click on the blue "Send Confirmation" button towards the top of the screen. This will generate an email confirming all the events you have selected.

Don't forget to make your payment! The purple button directs you to Paypal, so you can either pay with a Paypal account, or use your credit card through the secure Paypal portal. Until entries are paid for they are not validated, and you won't have a back number. So its very important not to skip this step.

What is the difference between the Pro/Am and Teacher/Student events?

The "Pro/Am" events specifically relate to the definition in Rule 7, that is for a couple composed of a Professional registered competitor and an Amateur registered competitor. These events are usually adjudicated as a couple.


The "Teacher/Student" events apply to any combination of a Teacher and their Student dancing and can be a Professional competitor, Professional Coach, or Amateur Instructor partnering an Amateur graded or Recreational competitor. In these events it is the Student only who is being adjudicated.


ANDA has split our Teacher/Student events into Open Amateur Students, and a separate event for Recreational Students. We may combine these events if we receive less than three entries.

These are new events and we really value your feedback - we want to make sure that competition is both fair and transparant, but also an enjoyable day for all our Teachers, Professionals, Competitors, and Spectators.

What are the conditions of entry?

All of our Conditions of Entry are on the Syllabus of Events sheet, which you can download above. These conditions are to ensure that all DSA Rules and Regulations are properly followed and so that our Competition is fair and transparent for all. It is important that you read and understand the Conditions of Entry before submitting your entries. If you have any questions or concerns about the Conditions of Entry please Contact ANDA and we will do our best to assist.

What do I have to do when I arrive?

When you arrive at Club Marconi on the day, anyone over 18 must sign in using a photo ID at the foyer.
Then, follow the escalators in the foyer up to the auditorium level where the ANDA banner which will direct you to the auditorium door. Once there you can purchase extra tickets for entry into the auditorium. Once in the auditorium, competitors need to report to the numbers table which will be next to the stage. There you will receive your competitor number(s). Once you have your number you can refer to the Event Programme to find out the order or your events. Although there will be limited printed Programmes available, we recommend that you follow along using the Live Timetable from DanceSportLive on the day. This will keep you up to speed on any changes to the Running Order of Events, approximate times of future events, when Event Finals are scheduled, as well as Live Recall Numbers. To see the live timetable you can visit DanceSportLive or via the unique link on this page on the day of the event.

Please ensure you have arrived, have your number, and are ready to compete at least 30 minutes prior to the start time of your Session.
Also note that competitors must report to the Marshalling Area three (3) events prior to the one you are competing in. If you are having any difficulty, or have any questions just ask one of the friendly ANDA officials who will be able to help you out.If you have any questions before the day of the competition you can Contact ANDA.

What do I wear for my event?

DSA Rules of DanceSport regulates what competitors can wear for their events. Competitors and coaches should refer to the DSA website for further details.Generally speaking, Recreational competitors are restricted to wearing "non-competitive attire" and a failure to do so comes with a risk of disqualification. "Non-competitive attire" is defined by DSA in a separate regulation that you can find here.If you are unsure about what you are supposed to wear for your event please consult your coach and the DSA rules above. If you are still unsure, you are welcome to Contact ANDA, but the safest bet would be to bring a couple of different options on the day to make sure that you don't risk disqualification.

What if I am unable to attend the Competition after submitting an entry?

Submissions can be cancelled using the p5000 website. View your entries on the site and use the 'cancel entry' button below the event you are unable to attend.

Am I allowed to dance in different age categories?

With the changes to the event structure, competitors are restricted to their own age group. But dont worry - there are plenty of events on offer.
